i have an access point linksys wap54g and i've upgrated the firmware to dd-wrt.v24_micro_generic but the default password doesn't work, so i can't use the setup.what can i do?i can't install old firmware and reset too.it there anyone who has a password and username?please help me!!

default info for ddwrt is username root password admin

if that doesn't work try resetting the router with the button on the back then try it again.

How to get linksys to connect to internet?

I cannot connect to the internet through my linksys wireless network but I am able to through my windows xp configuration. When i turn my linksys monitor on it says it can associate with the access point but cannot connect to the internet. How do I fix this?

It sounds as if you're still able to get onto the Web directly. Did you remember to disconnect your internet cable (the one that goes to the modem) from your computer and reconnect it to the Linksys router?

How do you get to the Linksys Router control screen?

My friend brought her lap top over and i know the first step to getting her internet connected is getting to the Linksys Router control screen.

It's been a long time since I had to do this because it wasn't my computer but I believe it involves typing in your IP address into the bar you would usually type in the website name your were trying to got to.

You also need your password (should be on the paperwork/package you got) if you want to change anything.
